Both shame and war
Nicholas Zharkikh
I set a date, it is significant: March 5, 2022.
in Kyiv (this is also important).
Recently, Winston Churchill’s aphorism has been repeated in general, and these days it is especially common: "If someone chooses between shame and war and chooses shame, he will receive both shame and war."
And the action in the spirit of this aphorism unfolds right before our eyes.
As of yesterday (March 4, 2022), not only Ukraine, and not only Europe – the whole world is facing a very real threat of radioactive release from the Zaporizhzhya NPP. About possible explosion reactor (reactors) I do not even want to think. If monkeys without brains, but with weapons drown something like this, they are the first to sigh, inspired by radioactive iodine. There is no salvation from this iodine (Chernobyl experience has shown). But it’s a bit of fun.
The war ceased to be not a simply world war, and grew into nuclear world war. This war does not have to take the form of intercontinental missile fire and megaton warhead explosions. Uranium mining, radiochemical plants, production and transportation of nuclear fuel, nuclear reactors (both stationary and on ships), and finally, transportation and storage of radioactive waste – any of these facilities could be the subject of war, and because it is nuclear technology, then the war will be nuclear.
Despite all my expectations, the "civilized world" did not even express the usual "concern". The G-7 countries at an urgent meeting on March 4, " Russia’s unprovoked and unjustified war against Ukraine with the support of Belarus." Not approved, but condemned! And is this the result we were hoping for? The statement did not say a word about the nuclear threat from the Zaporizhzhya NPP.
Our media :
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg explained why the Alliance does not want to establish a no-fly zone over Ukraine. According to him, NATO does not want a direct conflict with Russia.
Stoltenberg explained that the only way to implement a no-fly zone is to send planes into Ukrainian airspace and shoot down Russian planes. In this case, according to the NATO Secretary General, "everything could end in a full-fledged war in Europe, which will involve many more countries."
"As NATO allies, we must not allow this war to go beyond Ukraine. We have decided that we will not enter the Ukrainian sky or the territory of Ukraine. NATO will not be part of this conflict," he said.
According to Stoltenberg, if NATO is directly involved in the war in Ukraine, there will be "more human suffering, more civilians killed."
"Our main task is to protect the billion people living in 30 NATO member states," he added.
Ancient military wisdom – that is not only the best, but the only reliable way of defense is the offensive – remained unknown to this rat. Stoltenberg chose shame, and I sincerely wish him to win the war.
I understand that the NATO Secretary General is a position for speeches, not for real action, and that this position is consistent with the United States, the only NATO country that has (or says it has) real military potential. And we remember that US President Joe Biden has repeatedly spoken in the same vein.
He also chose shame. I willingly believe that he hopes to slip between the drops and destroy Russia through financial and economic sanctions alone. I willingly believe that there is a far-reaching comprehensive plan here, which… Just remember – this whole plan is based solely on the heroic resistance of Ukraine. Without this resistance there will be nothing.
We chose war, not shame. Every day our soldiers die, every day peaceful people die, every day our cities are destroyed.
Our President Zelensky :
"Today, NATO gave the green light for further bombing of Ukrainian cities and villages, refusing to carry out a no-fly zone. You could close the sky, however. But," Zelensky said.
"I do not know who you can protect and whether you can protect the countries of the North Atlantic Alliance. You will not be able to buy from us liters of fuel for liters of our blood shed for our common Europe, for our common freedom," said the President of Ukraine.
So is he :
"I am grateful to the Americans, to the resilient bipartisan majority of ordinary people. We saw the polls, we saw the opinion of ordinary people in America who support ordinary people in Ukraine… Who support closing the sky now to save people’s lives. 74% of Americans are in the no-fly zone. The vast majority. What else is needed to make a decision?"
Zelensky quite rightly sent these peaceful rats to the Daladier Club.
And this is a historical fact, which will not be canceled by the following events, whatever they may be. Britain and France emerged victorious from World War II, this did not help to Daladier and Chamberlain – they went down in history as cowards and traitors to the national interests of their countries.
Everything will be – Ukraine! We will win!
