Battle of the Vorskla River (1399) has left some traces on later documents, in 1410’s. Although these documents affecting our subject only in passing, they are composed by contemporaries of events, may be, according to their participants. Therefore, they have the weight of historical sources.
Conclusions
Search conducted on the echoes Battle of the Vorskla River in later documents suggests:
1, "Summarium Jagiello and Vytautas", composed in the Teutonic Order in 1413, contains a brief mention of the event in 1399 and probably in 1398, and they should be used.
2, the complaint Poles to Teutonic Order, probably composed in 1415 and submitted to the Council of Constance in 1416, contains some remonder about campaign on Vorskla, but they provide very little concrete data and does not give the impression of competence.
3, the response of the Teutonic Order on Polish complaint, written probably in 1416, contains references to the Tatars only in connection with their participation in the Battle of Grunwald in 1410.
