On December 31, 2022, Muscovites congratulated the residents of Kyiv with the New Year. Early, approximately 13:55 – 14.05, I heard dozens of rather loud explosions just sitting in my house. Dozens of more distant explosions were also heard.

Some of the attacking aircraft were shot down by our anti-aircraft defense, but there were also hits, in particular, at the sports field of the Kyiv University on Glushkov Avenue, where I used to do physical education (it was such a compulsory subject!). Windows were also blown out in nearby educational buildings, in particular in the building of the physics faculty, where I studied, and in the dormitories, two of which I lived in during the 3rd to 5th years.

I thought that the Muscovites could hardly wait until the New Year arrived in the Pacific Ocean on the date line to shoot and then go drink their vodka, but no: somewhere at 0:35 already on January 1, 2023, the air alarm sounded loudly again, and they write that new "Shaheds" arrived, and they continued to be shot down. But I didn’t hear it.
