The researchers suggest that unhappy love prompted Victor to poetry. Subject broken love occupies an important place in his poems.

In 1836, he compiled a collection of 19 poems (that is half of its artistic heritage). At the beginning of 1837 this collection already printed in St. Petersburg, but was not issued (for unknown reason). Now it is known only one instance of it.
