4. "Hypatian" group (No. 53 – 83)

This group begins with the title (52): "A se kievskie grody". It would seem that after that Kyiv should go as the most famous and important city, but no – Kyiv is in the middle of the group.
(53) Dveren
Dveren for the first and last time it is mentioned in under 6700 (1192) year. Similarity of the name to the modern one in Cherkasy region (Ukraine) is very approximate. Probability class – C.
(55) Korsun
Korsun mentioned in the Hypatian Chronicle from 6680 to 6703 years. It is modern in Cherkasy region (Ukraine). Probability class – A.
(56) Trepol
Trepol is mentioned in the Hypatian Chronicle many times from 6601 (1093) to 6703 (1195). It is modern village in Kyiv region (Ukraine). Probability class – A.
(58) Kanev
Kanev it is also very often mentioned in the Hypatian Chronicle from 6652 (1144) to 6703 (1195). Now – in Cherkasy district and region (Ukraine). Probability class – A.
(59) Glynsk
Glynsk – a purely literary object that did not really exist [more details: Zharkikh N. I. Princes Glynski. – Kyiv: 2023, section "Schematic map of the Glynski princes’ actions»]. Probability class – F.

Three objects of this name are recorded in SRG (60, 311, 374), so the definition Rus’ (61) is not superfluous here. Modern town in Kyiv region (Ukraine). Probability class – A.
(62) Yuryev
Yuryev – an ancient town south of Kyiv, known for the fact that it was the residence of a certain bishop.
We take it with a grain of salt modern city (= White Church) in Kyiv region (Ukraine). Probability class – C.
(63) Peresechen
Unknown object. Probability class – D.
(64) Vasylev
Vasylev (64) on Stugna (65) is a modern city in Obukhiv district, Kyiv region. Probability class – A.
(66) Belgorod
Belgorod (66) on Rpen (67) is a modern village in Bucha district, Kyiv region (Ukraine). Probability class – A.
(68) Cherngorod
The name almost exactly corresponds to the modern village in Fastiv district, Kyiv region (Ukraine). Probability class – A.
, that all 9 Shaheds were shot down in Ukraine overnight (in 6 regions, that is, the attack was intended to disturb our air defenses).
Also , that the USA made great progress and decided to vote for aid to Israel separately, and to Ukraine separately. President Biden once threatened (in October 2023) that he would veto aid to Israel alone, without Ukraine. I wonder if he will remember it now? (April 16, 2024 at 7:43 am).

"And Saint Sophia with 12 domes" – in the most common nowadays by Yu. Aseev, V. Volkov, M. Kresalny Cathedral has 13 – 15 domes. Probability class – A.
(73) Vyshegorod (= Upper town)
Vyshgorod is mentioned in the Hypatian Chronicle very often from 6454 (946) to 6706 (1198).
Undoubtedly, it is a modern city in Kyiv region (Ukraine). Probability class – A.

(75) Tmutorokan
Tmutorokan it is mentioned in the Hypatian chronicle from 6496 (988) to 6602 (1094), and from the chronicle this name entered the SRG. Its is located in the town Taman, Krasnodar Territory of the Russian Federation. Probability class – A.
(76) Ostrechskyi
I think that the source of the record in the SRG was the Hypatian chronicle (record of 1141). Its at the mouth of Oster into the Desna – is reliably identified with this Gorodets (Ukraine). Probability class – A.

I think that in the SRG Omelniki was the name of the tract of the Dnipro province. Probability class – B.

Snovesk it is mentioned several times in the Hypatian Chronicle from 6576 (1068) to 6472 (1234). Researchers unanimously point to the modern town in Chernihiv district (Ukraine). Probability class – A.
(81) Bryansk
Bryansk mentioned several times in the Hypatian Chronicle from 6654 () to 6782 (1274). Undoubtedly – the regional center of the Russian Federation. Probability class – A.
(82) Rostovets
Rostovets is mentioned in the Hypatian Chronicle from 6759 (1071). Probability class – D.
(83) Uneatin
Neyatin it is mentioned once and only in the above-mentioned fragment of the Hypatian chronicle for 1071. This object is proposed to be a modern village in Berdychiv district, Zhytomyr region (Ukraine). Probability class – C.
The "Hypatian" group clearly differs from the previous and subsequent texts of the SRG by a large number of objects borrowed from the Hypatian Chronicle. We will see such borrowings in the following groups, but there they do not form such a long sequence.

There are noticeably more objects in the "Hypatian" group, and everything is not easy with them. The optimal route should start from one of the most distant objects in order not to return to it and save the return distance. For these very reasons, it should be finished at one of the remote objects. I start this route from Tmutorokan and finish in Bryansk: 75 → 55 → 58 → 60 → 56 → 64 → 68 → 66 → 70 → 73 → 76 → 78 → 80 → 81 = 1270 km. It is plotted on the following diagram with blue arrows.
"Hypatian" group. Optimal route
To lay the main real route (between class A objects), you just need to look at the list: 55 → 56 → 58 → 60 → 64 → 66 → 68 → 70 → 73 → 75 → 76 → 78 → 79 → 80 → 81 → 81 → 83 = 2290 km. It is plotted in the following diagram with red arrows. Arrows of other colors do not have a special meaning, only so that there is no confusion when crossing. Entropy-A = 180 %, and most of it is due to the rebound to Tmutorokan, which added 1530 km.
"Hypatian" group. Real route (class A)
The complete real route (classes A + B + C) looks even worse confused: 53 → 55 → 56 → 58 → 60 → 62 → 64 → 66 → 68 → 70 → 73 → 75 → 76 → 78 → 80 → 81 → 83 = 3494 km, which gives us entropy-B = 275 %.
"Hypatian" group.
Real route (classes A + B + C)
The polygon that covers all objects of the group is marked with a black outline on the map. Its diameter (75-81) is 911 km. We would like to remove three foreign objects from the group: Omelnik (79), which does not come from the annals, and two annalistic towns – Tmutorokan (75) and Bryansk (81). It would be much more logical to place the latter in the next, "Siversky" group. With their removal, the contour of the core of the group (orange color) acquires a diameter of 230 km (55 – 80), i.e. four (!) times smaller.
At the same time, the objects borrowed from the Hypatian chronicle are scattered in the SRG among many other groups, and are often foreign to these groups.
