Mykhailo Glynsky in Lithuania
Nicholas Zharkikh
From a review of the biographies of the Glynski princes, it can be seen that they were low-profile earthlings (nobles). The greatest success was achieved by Ivan Lvovich Glynsky, who served as voivode for less than two years.
Apparently, this family would not deserve close study if Ivan’s younger brother – Mykhailo Lvovich Glynsky, a man of remarkable energy and abilities – did not belong to it.
There is quite a lot of information about his activities, so historians have food here. That’s why I allocate his biography in a separate section.
