[Late 19 cent.] The upper terrace
Nikolai Zharkikh
General view of the upper terrace of the Assumption Monastery in Bakhchisarai. Photo from the book by E. Markov "Crimean Essays" [Markov E. L. Sketches of Crimea. – St. Petersburg.: M.O.Wolf, 1902].
I date the whole series of photos placed in Markov's book in 1902, by the end of the 19th century – more precisely, by time between 1896 (the construction of the church of St. Innocent of Irkutsk, on the next photo) and 1901, when a wooden gallery at the Assumption Church was already dismantled (photo 1901; at this photo it is still in place).
