Cathedral of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God was built in 1630's (1636?). It was on the Red Square, just 200 meters from the mausoleum of the main communist saint Lenin. Of course, the Bolsheviks could not tolerate such a neighborhood: in the 1925 – 1933's restored and in 1936 brought down the house (no joke: indeed restored to easier demolish).
The temple was rebuilt in 1990 – 1993 years, but now 200 meters away from it is Lenineum… Who will win?
