Distribution of news about Assumption rock by class

Of the total 60 credible sources only 10 (15%) belong to the time until 1783; 50 (85%) belong to the period after the capture of the Crimea by Russian Empire.

What emerges is the story of the Assumption rocks collected on the basis of sources? It can be divided into the following periods:

1, background (15 – 16 centuries);

2, Assumption cave church (1596 – 1800);

3, fictional "monastery" (1794 – 1849);

4, Assumption skete (1850 – 1921);

5, devastation during the reign of "Russian World" (1921 – 1990);

6, the revival of the monastery in the independent Ukraine (from 1993).
