In literature circulates unfounded opinion that Bakhchisaray monastery allegedly played a role in organized by the Russian government in 1778 withdrawal of Christians from the Crimea to Azov region. To see myself and show readers its hollowness, I had to consider the relevant documents, most of which was published in the second volume of the publication N. F. Dubrovin "Adjoining of the Crimea to Russia" (1885).
