Cathedral built in 1484 – 1489 by masters from Pskov on the place of older church (14 century). This cathedral was the house capella of the Palace of Grand Dukes and connected to the palace with vestibule. In the following centuries the chapels and galleries were added to cathedral, which made it complex form.
