The work «Two traditions chronicles Grand Duchy of Lithuania» (2016) is now continued. Today – subsection «Stryjkowski’s Chronicle (1582)» of the section «Compilation works».
"Chronicle" Stryjkowski can not be used as a historical source – it can only be used to study the history of social thought and historiography.

One can not doubt that the records of the Gustynja Chronicle for the years 1361 to 1362 are the next unsuccessful attempt of a combination of sources known to the author GL and to us.

We counted 13 episodes, where the author GL successfully combined various sources available to him (and some of these combinations are accepted in modern science).

The work «Two traditions chronicles Grand Duchy of Lithuania» (2016) is now continued. Today – subsection «Epitome of Lithuanian princes (1576)» of the section «Compilation works».
So, for "Epitome" was used not only "Messenger of virtue", but also some kind of "Nemonos" edition "Fabulous emergence of Lithuania", as well as Polish chronicles.

The conclusion is simple: for writing the history of Lithuania Stryjkowski used Lit1L, filling it sometime from Polish chronicles.

Named Lithuanian heroes, any of which were not seen at Chojnice by contemporaries, but the author Lit1L from a distance of more than 100 years should be better seen.
